We always called them "wax bottles," but they're officially called Nik-L-Nip.
The name is a combination of the original cost -- a nickel -- and the way you eat them, which is to nip the top off the cute little wax bottles.
Slurp down the fruit-flavored syrup inside, and when there's still a little left in the bottle, you can chew the wax to get the very last drop.
A simple, sweet, nostalgic treat, they come in four fruit flavors: Cherry, Orange, Lemon, and Lime.
Ingredients: Drink: High fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, citric acid, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate (preservatives), artificial colors (FD&C red 40, blue 1, yellow 5, yellow 6).
Container: Refined wax, artificial flavors, BHT (to maintain freshness). Soy may be present.
